I want to begin this entry by confessing that, I am at times guilty of the following as well, but I am constantly trying my best to stay focused. This Revolution, to return to the limited government that our Founding Fathers established, did not evolve to become an excuse to attack specific persons or groups of people. Many of those who claim to be holding the very same banner of Liberty, have been irresponsibly using the momentum from this movement as a disguise to primarily cut down on President Obama and/or the Democrats. The truth is that the push for bigger and more invasive government has been going on for decades, and those from both the left and the right are to blame. It is essential that we never allow ourselves to turn this into a toddler-like temper tantrum aimed at one person or party. This is not to say that we should never challenge or question a person's actions or statements. But rather it is crucial that we broaden our own scope of assessment and perhaps even look into the mirror to constantly reevaluate our own actions and beliefs. The more we can rethink and refine our own way of thinking, the stronger and more compelling it becomes. In conclusion, I urge us all to remain concentrated on the task at hand, which is to stand up and fight for our Constitution as well as the fundamental principles it conveys. This movement is more about ACTION and less about playing the blame game. In addition, let us keep each other accountable (myself included) in a loving and gentle manner so that we may continue to move forward.
*As you have probably noticed I have not mentioned any names of those involved in this type of slandering, because it would have only slowed down our progress.
